The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too. |

I just finished one.....I can't respond to any accuracy questions because I'm just not that into german armor. But I thought it was a real b*tch to build. It's one of the early Pzkw-III-based kits from the 'Imperial" series, which means that the fit is really poor, the parts have incredibly numerous cleanup points, and all the sprues have the same letter designation....there are probably five sprues labelled "B" and none at all labelled "C" (I am making up the letters but you get the point). I thought it would be a simple, slam-it-together-on-the-deck type of OOTB model but it isn't. By the time I was done I concluded the kit was designed by my ex.
It's a cool ugly-looking vehicle when it is done though. The superstructure is quite simple, and all of the problems are in the hull. So yes, I think your idea of mating the superstructure to a more up-to-date Pzkw-III hull has a lot of merit. |
