Forums - Modelling / Kits |
The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too. |

| Subject: | Dragon had two sets of StuG III and Panzer III tooling | |

| Dragon tooled up their own Panzer III and StuG III based kits, like the Stug III B. Those have seperate suspension arms, more small parts, and tons of mold tabs to remove from everything. Dragon also used the ex Gunze tooling which was more simplistic. The Imperial kits usually had Gunze chassis. Of course Dragon also mixed and matched parts from both sets of tooling, sometimes with awkward results. The Dragon and Gunze kits were engineered differently. I forget which kit has which tooling but the StuG III F and F-2 are one each Gunze and Dragon for some odd reason... not the same basic tooling in each kit but two distinct kits. |
