Hi Guys,
This discussion has me wondering about the origins of this kit. Let's see... a bad kit that might have been state of the art 30 or 40 years ago?..a subject that has only been done once before in plastic and that was a 1/48th(?) scale offering by Tamiya(?) Aurora(?) about 30 or 40 years ago. Is it possible that Revell bought the rights to use the old kit research and drawings and just blew them up to 1/35th scale? And ...voila.. you get a new kit of a vehicle that, regardless of the quality or lack therein, no one else has ever done in plastic in 1/35th scale.
The question marks mean my old memory is not what it used to be and I need confirmation or denial from some older modelers as to the original source and scale of the initial offering. And I'm also asking anyone with ties to the industry if my supposition has some truth.
What goes around comes around..its just bigger the second time around?
