The Trumpeter kit is the one to go for.
The mounting points for the sideskirts are in the right place (compared to reference photos) so therefore the sideskirts are the right proportions!! The kit supplied tracks are "old school" flexible plastic bands (not a BAD thing) but they are very nicely molded and the join can be hidden under the skirts or under the roadwheels.
As both the Dragon and Trumpeter turrets are fictional, the Trumpeter one "looks" more in keeping with Germanic Late War Doctrine so it gives the impression of being the more accurate (and I use the word accurate with my tongue in my cheek!!). The Dragon turret does suffer from an undercut that requires some major filling!!
So, in my humble opinion, the Trumpeter kit is the one to go for. |
