| Subject: | Wash vs. Post-shading.. | |

Hi guys. Well, as some of you know I am working on Tamiya's Tiger II
Henschell. I am finally done putting all those dots in the ambush scheme and
am now at the weathering phase. This will be my first time attempting to
weather anything. Originally I painted the model with the pre-shading
technique. This was before I read that pre-shading is better used on
mono-color paint schemes and now I see why that is, you cant even tell I did
it once all the other colors were laid on. Well, I really liked how you
could see all the color variations in the panels and how it brought out the
detail and I would like to get it back. Would I be better off trying to do
some post-shading with a darker color around the various panels, ect and
then since I wish to have a dusty looking model, using a light overspray to
tie everything together, or should I use a wash? What are the benefits and
problems with each technique? Also, what color would you recommend I use in
each technique? Thanks for the help guys!
