I have seen some coloured pictures and video of Panzer Grey vehicles
that appeared almost black.I guess that these could be false colours
due to reproduction. I generally use the Model master range of enamels
straight out of the bottle and add some white or lighter colour for
dry brushing.

Correct or close doesn't matter much , take the case of the german
Dark Yellow ,you will tear your hair out trying to get the right
colour.
Almost all modelers have their favourite recipes for certain colours.
Just paint it.
