that should say Respirator.This is a mask that will keep toxic chemicals and microscopic particals from impregnating your lungs and body which after a build up could lead to cancer. That's why there is a skull and cross bone on the thinner bottles. And acrylic paint may be water based but little tiny balls of plastic float in the air when you spray this stuff and well it will end up on your lung walls unless you take precautions. Then you will have a good time.
