Try adding a bit of flesh color for highlighting. I don't know if that will work for
drybrushing, but if you mix a bit of flesh with field grey, then highlight the right
areas, you get a nice matt finish.

I read about highlighting with flesh colors many times, and tried it recently. It worked
well.
