Seriously have you tried a spray can?
First prime the kit with a white primer (Tamiya have one or there are some from other brands).
Then spray the kit with the spray can (I assume a gloss white for your project).
The trick is to warm the spray can before hand (makes the paint mix flow better), shake the can a lot, spray consitently about 20cm parallel from model starting before the model and stopping after it.
If there are other colours on your truck parts, do some masking.
