Hi, Luis. Merry Christmas!
My experience with painting ind. plastic links before assembly was dismal -
glue would not hold them together. I think you're far better off assembling,
then painting. There are a lot of "how to" articles around with various neat
ways to assemble them yet still get them off for painting. I choose the lazy
way - either use the rubber band type that comes with most kits or use Fruil
or Modelkasten replacements.
