I use 25-50% thinner to paint ratio (varies depending on what/when I am spraying and the age of the paint). I only thin with rubbing alcohol. With my Paasch H single action I have no problems, I only have a compressor, no regulator, so I couldn't give a reccomendation for PSI (but I think it's about 20-25lbs). For really fine work (i.e. freehand camouflage splotches or stripes) I only use enamels, the acrylic does dry in the brush too fast when spraying at low pressure through the fine tip...
Experiment. Everybody will have slightly different approaches, and you just have to find the one that works for you!
G'luck. |
