Hi Brandon,
I use an Iwata myself and used to use an Aztek 470. I'm very happy indeed
with the Iwata, the Aztek I found to be merely so so.But a lot of people
love that 470 ...
I would recommend that you TRY OUT some airbrushes before you plunk down
your cash. Don't just buy what other people like - every single major brand
has lots of fans, but that does not mean they are all equally good for you.
If at all possible get to an art store and get hands on with a few brands,
try out one belonging to a friend etc.
Be very careful about choosing a "cheap" airbrush, there is often very
little price differential between them and a much better brush, especially
if you order on line (bearair and coast air brush). Right now you want only
reliable, affordable etc but when your skills expand a bit in a few months
you may feel differently. Buying a brush you will want to replace in 6
months is a false economy.
Also, don't ignore the air source - that is as much a factor in how you feel
about your setup as the brush itself.
David. |
