| Subject: | More airbrushing questions | |

Hi all,
I guess I will add my question to the list, for those who are more knowledgable to answer. I spry with a Paasce single action brush, and use only Gunze Sangyo paints thinned with a 50/50 water/alcohol thinner. I have experimented and found the right consistensy of paint along with the best pressure for my setup. This is my problem; when I airbrush, the first second or two of paint has splatters, then it clears up. When I stop for a few seconds to look at the model, when I start respraying, I get 1 or 2 seconds of splatters each time. Needless to say this has ruined quite a few finishes. Is this paint drying at the tip during pauses, then being sprayed out? Is there any way to cure or avoid this with water based paints?
Thanks for any advice,
Mike C. |
