Aww Shucks. T'werent nuthin'. Plenty of folks have helped me here and on
RMS. Just passing the karma on.

I've been looking for goodies myself, mostly to help out the interior. But
there is very little. The upgrade itself is not neccessary as there is am
M2A2 kit. What I'd like to see is some resin for the turret basket. The
interior is also not really right for an M2A2. However I may put the
interior in my M2A2 and call it a day. The interior is colored Sea foam
green. It's just a pale green. Tamiya makes a light or pale green that
might work. Add some white if it's to bright.

This is the aftermarket I could find (besides the decals)

First 4 items are photo etched brass. Small, fiddly not really for newbies,
or for oldies with low frstration levels, yours truly. The Model Kasten are
individual link track sets, that may or may not be workable. Again fiddly,
tough for less experienced folks. The Model Point barrel is absolutely
gorgeous but at the price I kinda balked myself. The last item is the
transmission and compartment. Resin components, probably doable if you're
patient. Also Modelcraft makes an M2A2 that is cheaper and possibly more
available than the Tamiya M2A2. It is quite likely a copy of the Tamiya
M2A2. (I don't know this for a fact, but the smart money bets that way.)

If you're gonna try to scratch get the books. Of course the Modelcraft kit
is only $16 at Great Models webstore. http://greatmodels.com/

BTW tracks in sand. Mix up your plaster or what have you for the terrain
(see the Model Railroad section of your hobby shop for ideas), wait a bit
untill it starts to dry, then press the model gently down into the plaster.
If the tracks move freely enough just drive it. If not pick it up and move
and press it down again.

You might also want to try http://www.armorama.com/. Rob is in the Army has
some great pictures for reference and some forums that I found to be very
helpful. Hell, I didn't even have to ask a question. I just went and
searched it and somebody had already asked and folks who drove and/or
worked in and around the vehicle in question answered.

Good luck!
Frank
