The secrets to airbrushing are several - enamels

The paint must be strained - nylon stockings etc.

The paint must be thinned - each brand is different but most are about 3 or 4 paint to thinner.

The air pressure should be regulated and have a water trap with it. See below.

The paint must be airbrushed. If using a bottle and sucking the paint up will require 15 to 22 lbs at the beginning of the hose. If using a paint cup and the paint flows down then air pressure can be 5 to 10 lbs.

Picking a brand of paint and staying with it helps. If the brand is available easily and has a wide selection of colors also helps. Bill Whitley
