I often prime my models too. I use either Testors Flat White or Flat grey (depending on the color of the plastic). A big reason I do this is to ensure adequate coverage of paint...sometimes if I'm doing a vehicle with dark plastic in a dark paint scheme its easy to miss areas (especially if it would be apparent AFTER finishing!). Also as I use acrylics ONLY I prime for increased adhesion. When I painted in laquers/enamels I never primed; I just feel acrylics need that extra "bite"
