| Paint the metal black or very dark brown and the wood handles Tamiya Desert Yellow or similar. Rub powdered graphite ground from pencil lead on metal (do last thing and do not overcoat with clear - will ruin the effect) and coat the handle with thinned burnt sienna oil paint - not quite thinned as much as a wash, though. Leave it streaky to represent wood grain. |
