That's not really correct....As a Former Armor Crewman with the Marines I can honestly say we always painted our tools the metal ones at least Olive drab they never looked gun metal or anything else....except on the very ends of them where they made contact with the ground or equipment. wood handles were always left natural wood color and NEVER painted camo or any other color. This applies to all tools on Modern Armor of today and is still that way.
