If you are new to airbrushing, I would seriously recommend buying an
inexpensive single action brush and not a double action one. You will
learn painting techniques without having to learn too many airbrush
techniques at the same time. I am a fan of the Paasche H series single
actions. I have the one I bought almost 30 years ago and it works just
fine. They are relatively inexpensive, but are made of metal and last
through a lot of abuse. You can do fine camo patterns down to 1/8" wide
with it (depending on paint and thinner) and it will base coat up to
1.5" wide at full bore.
Its also a lot cheaper than a double action brush of similar quality.
Spend the money you save on a good compressor. You are unlikey to want
to upgrade that as your painting skills improve.
