| A couple of things to remember about M16s: 1 - they are black, not blue, brown, purple or orange and 2 - Only the center part where the magazine and trigger housing goes and the barrel shows metallic wear. Both the stock and the grips are made from material other than metal. What I've found that works the best is to paint the weapon flat black then lightly dry brush the metal parts with either Model Masters Aluminum or Model Masters Metalizer. For additional effects you could "mud-up" the butt end of the weapon or use weathering powder on the stock & grips. |
