Good to know. are there any other thinners i can use? I've tried mineral
spirits, and they seem a little.. harsh. Will testors work for humbrol
and other enamels?

I've been doing 2-6 very light coats, and have gotten a good result with
this technique, using certain paints (the humbrol white is very very
thin relative to the others). I will try and get that same thickness
with the darker colours and see what happens.
Finally, do you use wells or cups and mix up the paint in there? I've
been diping out of the bottles, but this is getting messy really fast.
