| Subject: | Reposting isopropyl alcohol question | |
| Date: | Dec 19, 2000 |
| From: | Ed Kusiak | |
Hello everyone,
I know this subject has been discussed to death in the past, unfortunately I
didn't take notes at the time thinking I'd be forever using windshield
washer fluid for thinning my Tamiya paints. I discovered that I may have
been using washer fluid with detergent in it. I gave the half full jug a
good shake up and ended up with a nice lather, definitely not what you want
to paint with.
So, begging your patience, I'm asking for an ideal ratio of alcohol to
water. I may also try adding a drop or two of lacquer thinner to help the
acrylics "bite" the plastic a bit.
Any thoughts or experiences?
