Tracy -
Floquil makes a red oxide primer in its railroad line, enamel for sure, maybe acrylic, too. Otherwise, a dull, slightly brownish red is what you're looking for, but rather more definitely red and lighter than a chocolate brown. Some people use what shipbuilders call hull red.
The Testor's lines have all the WW II German camo colors in them - don't buy all the Afrika Korps colors unless you know you'll need them - and Humbrol and Tamiya also have the basic ones without all the Afrika Korps variations. Poly-Scale is another line, but it's not available where I live.
The three essentials for late-war armor are Dunkelgelb RAL 7028 (dark yellow), Olivgrün RAL 6003 (olive green), and Rotbraun RAL 8017 (red brown). In some lines these will have "Panzer" or "Camouflage" put in front of the English name. The interior color was originally specified as Elfenbein (ivory - cut the Testor's color with about 50% white), but that was used less and less in late war when red oxide was left as the only protective coating. Most hatches were painted dunkelgelb on the inside.
Please also note that the Tamiya Dark Yellow is closest in color to a Dunkelgelb nach Muster (dark yellow according to sample) that was only used for a few months in 1943 (good for some Kursk armor. It has a very slight green tint whereas the RAL 7028 is a warmer, browner color), and that the Dunkelgelb on many Panzers comes across as rather lighter than the RAL standard appears.
The green you're looking for is a dull, mid green, much greener and somewhat lighter than US olive drab, but it can be brighter when sprayed thinly over dark yellow, or darker over red oxide primer or the camo brown.
When you're looking at b&w photos to gauge your camo pattern, keep in mind that the brown usually comes out darker than the green. Lots of illustrations get them backwards.
Tomas Chory/Charles Kliment's Wehrmacht Heer 1939-1945 is probably the best single source and is well worth searching out. Pages 18-19 alone are worth the price for late-war aficionados.
Probably a lot more than what you wanted to know, but use what's helpful and consider the rest for another project.
Best,
