Ok Ok, I know that this has been covered many times before...

But.... I was browsing the net and noticed that some guys that reproduce paint chips using paint and scratching and salt etc...
My question is, If I have the base coat of Dark yellow and I want the area to look worn (ie, grey showing or dark red) What can I use to simulate this with a light blend? I don't want the area to look chipped. But worn away with a slight chipping on the edges. You see this on alot of winter wash vehicles.

1. Should I paint the kit black first, then red (Panel fade), seal it, then coat it again in the base colour of say... yellow. After than use rubbing alchol and slowly wear away the paint?

2.... Or what do you suggest?

Many thanks!
