What is the value of using adjustable air pressure on an airbrush compressor? I have a basic set up, with an old Badger compressor that has no pressure settings other than on. I have been pondering buying a new compressor with all the bells and whistles - sort of a mid-life crisis gone awry - but am not sure what they would really do for me.
I use mainly Tamiya acrylics through a Badger 100 double action airbrush. I have thinned and thinned and can never seem to be able to control the brush well enough to achieve fine lines - i.e. the wavy line camoflauge patterns found on german armor.

Any suggestions as to the type of compressor?

All comments appreciated.
