Hi Rich

I recommend:
lamp black
raw umber
burnt sienna
yellow ochre

You can go wild from there, but those four colors give you a lot of dirt options.
If you were looking for a fifth color, I'd add titanium white, so you can lighten the others easily.

I have extra tubes of some of those colors, e-mail me and we can swing a deal I'm sure! I have Winsor & Newton and Grumbacher colors.
