I bet you're wondering why nobody has answered you!!

Yours is a common question.
The short, one word, answer is "carefully".

Most folks use an airbrush, and spraying a base color coat then painting the details is a common route. A lot of folks build the kits in subassemblies, painting those before completing final assembly.

Your answer is in the articles on this site (and others). If you are just getting into armor modelling, I recommend S. Paine's books on building Military Models and Building Dioramas. He covers basic and advanced techniques very well.
