I too, recommend a double action because of the ability to more closely control the flow and patterns.
I have both a Paasche VLS double action and an Aztek A470 double action. I much prefer the Aztek due to it's ease of use and the ability to clean it quickly and interchange up to 9 different nozzles very quickly. Good luck!
