Don't worry about thining paints. Remember, military forces are always trying to be cost-effective, they just take the paint and apply it, no thining or unecessary mixing- it is kept as simple as possible. When I painted my Leopard 2A4, I used generic acrylic paint; vert forest green, matt black, matt brown for the camo. I have used more expensive paints like humbrol, but I never see a difference in the texture or shade. Do yourself a favor, just keep it simple, use acrylics only for camo. If you begin to worry about using different paints, you will not enjoy the model as much and you will frustrate yourself.
