I don't know of any photos that show all sides of a specific King Tiger in the
Ambush scheme, but you could come close. It did vary from tank to tank, also,
so you have a lot of leeway. Sometimes it was hardedged and sometimes soft,
etc. Tank 222, probably the most famous from the Ardennes fighting, was
photographed repeatedly before, during and after the fighting, so there are the
most views of this vehicle, which is useful. Also, check out the Osprey New
Vanguard book on the Tiger II. It has a lot of color plates depicting the camo
pattern, and a lot of photos, too. The Osprey Campaign book on Peiper and
Skorzeney also has a ton of good film frame blowups of the Ardennes tanks
(including 222). |
