Hey Guys,
Recent posts on other web sites and newly released pictures in some recent publications suggest that the actual color was a semi-gloss deep green - similar to U.S. Marine green. The handles and nozzle were a dull bronze color. Of course, when you're in a rush, and which German unit wasn't most of the time, especially in the latter stages of the war, then I'm pretty confident the average tanker would just slap some camo on whatever wasn't moving and call it a day. The semi-gloss green is a nice contrast to panzer grey and dark yellow, if you feel like going the extra step to paint it.
Model on, guys,
Dave
