The way I use the greens is two fold and is as follows....(the blue's in the MMP range are for aircraft weathering)

Use 1... To weather the PAINT on a tank (MMP worn OD Pz Yellow ect)..I do this because paint of this type after a while has a chaulky surface..(oxides)...I do it by scrubbing in the powders into all the surfaces then polishing offf the highlights and pannel centers..'Reverse Drydrushing' maybe ?? as I lightly damp a large brush with meths when I do this...

eg
Weathering the PAINT as aposed to, putting weather ON the paint :)

Use 2..Ground work....mixed with the browns, sands etc...great when dusted neat onto PVA wetted scotch pad...
