I usually start with a base colour of humbroll gunmetal. Than one or two layers of diluted tamiya red brown(xf-64). than I use a small brush and some tamiya metallic grey to highlight the points where the tracks contact the ground. Finally I wash the tracks with tamiya earth XF-52. It gives a rusty appearance (I'm not an expert in mud-looks so I don't know what's the best way to do that.)
