Hi David,

Well black is an easy color to paint on a figure, like the venerable Shep Paine wrote, black is black, you cant shade it really. Just some good paint, a good brush, and a steady hand is all you'll need. If you do want to try to give highlights to the folds, possibly an extremely dark grey (almost black) drybrushed onto the top fold ridges may look good. Then follow with some Archer dry transfers for insignia.
