I am making a Panzer IV F1 that is supposed to be have been in North Africa. I was wanting to do some wear marks that a tank would get from going over patches of those hardcore thorn bushes that are in Africa. I dont know however if the places where the thorns scratched the paint off would rust. With the climate being so dry would the bare metal even get a chance to rust? I guess the same question applies to the tracks as well. I suppose the tracks and muffler could be rusted like the tank was previously stationed elsewhere for service, but I just dont know for sure. I guess I just like to get some other people opinions before I put the first paint on.
