| From what I have gathered from everyones responses (which I am very grateful for), I think I will put a coat of steel or gunmetal on the front under side slant for my bare metal base. Then hit a few areas with a light coat of panzer grey for the under lying old paint scheme. After that spray the entire model, minus tracks and some tools im waiting to put on, with sandgleb. Im not sure how to get the sand blasted off look of the top paint though. Maybe apply talcom powder to those areas and then paint over them with the sandgleb. After that dust off the talcom so hopefully it will have feathered edges. Has anyone ever tried anything like that? This my first attempt at any serious painting and detail so if you see me making a mistake please set me straight. As for the muffler, I think I will just go with a light surface rust with just a hint of bare metal on the edges of a dent I put in it. Im looking forward to your replies. |
