I have tried several paint colors for Cromwells and have found that the mix
of Tamiya paints recommended in the Tamiya Cromwell kit works very well as
does Testers Model Master #2027, FS 34096 Dark Green B-52, for the British
Khaki Drab used in NWE 44/45. I prefer the Model Master #2027 for British
Khaki Drab as it is a bit lighter and easier to weather. Both colors are
very close to Xtracolor's British Olive Drab, which I think is the gold
standard for British WWII armor colors if you can get it. Do not use
Humbrol's Bronze Green or Tamiya's Khaki Drab as both are too dark.

For the Centaur, I mixed Model Master #2103, Dunkelgrau 7027, with Model
Master #2050, Olive Drab ANA 613, in about a 10 to 3 ratio to achieve the
Khaki Brown color that some to most of the Royal Marine Support Group
Centaurs used at Normandy. I think you might also be able to use Model
Master #2098, RAL 7008 Africa Khakibraun, straight out of the bottle and
come close enough to British Khaki Brown.

Best of Luck, Rich
