Hi Folks,
Thanks for the replies.
David, I have to say that's one hell of an expensive way to learn a lesson about paint! At least my problems are only in 1/35 and not 1/1.
In relation to mixing I thinned the paint out a little with distilled water which I believed to be an acceptable method. Other than that I sprayed a Satin Varnish (Vallejo) finish over the kits before weathering.
I'll probably contact the manufacturer as they might be interested in hearing my comments.
