Working from the basic laws of physics, no. But as John said, atmospheric dust etc. can affect what we see at a distance; an effect that I'd prefer to simulate with photo software.
Another source of the unreal sensation is the lighting. Objects in rooms are surrounded by indirect light that does not exist outdoors.
