Hi Folks,
Thanks for all the feedback. In relation to where I situated the kit I actually had another kit, finished in enamels, placed beside it and it looks as fresh as the day I sprayed it.
I have to say I really like working with acrylics particulary due to the safety advantages that come with it, i.e. no flammable thinners in the home environment, health aspects etc.
One of the best paints I have used were acrylics produced by the Czech company Agama from whom I received some bottles as samples. They behaved like acrylics while spraying, but had an enamel finish on the kit. If you ever come across any to buy I would recommend their use.
