Ok, I've never tried weathering a model before, but seeing all these jobs, and seeing how it can be even overdone (yes, I agree) I want to give one of my 1/35's a shot. I'm more into the 1/16 scale, but will use a 1/35 before I dare it on one of my 1/16's, 'cause a 1/35 is about $20, a new styrene hull for a 1/16 is $50-100, depending on the model.

First, I'm in Canada, and many product names differ, ok?

I know about Future... but the only one I remember seeing is the one in the tin, and looked like lard. Is there a pump-bottle version, or do I do something to the thick stuff? Best way to apply it? I have a good Paasche H and a Badger 180 oil-less compressor (should I buy a water trap?)

Turpenoid, varsol, thinner... I've always had problems here with some paints softening lower coats. Despite the ease of using Tamiya in my airbrush, I've shifted to the ModelMaster enamel line.

First, I use a undercoat, a grey primer usually, as both light and dark go over this easily, it works on both styrene and metal, and goes thru my airbrush just dandy. Then I use the Krylon Camo line for base colors, very nice despite only 4 colors, but flat as h*ll.

Its from there I want to proceed... advice? Does anyone make a VHS or DVD visual-step weathering demo? I work better from a visual in-progress example than stills & text.
