Patrick,

I know what you are talking about with the Future that looks like lard that is the paste wax version that is buffed on to floors (honestly I haven't seen anyone use that on a floor since the 70s) but the type we are talking about here is liquid in a bottle. It is clear. I am from Canada and I know you can buy it there (I live in Kansas now).

I spray mine straight out of the bottle (its a squeeze top type bottle I just squirt as much as I need into a jar for my airbrush). I guess you could thin it also. Mist it on in light coats as was said. Before and after decals. Oh and you need to wait 24 to 48 hours after the first coat before applying the decals to ensure it is dry.

I recently just started doing washes this way as I used to be timid about applying a gloss coat to a tank I wanted to have a flat finish but Charlie talked me into trying it. There is a recent 2 part Fine Scale Modeler that covers the entire wash process and I found it excellent. It tells you what supplies to buy and how to apply them. Highly recommended reading. Check their website for the issue numbers or email me and I will dig them out for you this weekend.

Rob
