Hello.
I'm not familiar with that brand, who makes it? You might be able to save your piece with some Dullcote.
I've never had bad results with 'Rustall', a model railroad product. One must remember to shake the bottle, and several coats are the norm. It dries totally flat.
Someday I'm going to model a vignette of a sixty year old wreck half submerged somewhere in the South Pacific. I would liberally coat the plastic in Testor's Liquid, and then do the baking soda trick. I know from experience Rustall would finish the job fine.
