Hi Ron, I am a relative newcomer and have had similar questions. Some I have
found by looking through the threads here and some elsewhere. Someone here
recommended the Beginners forum on Missing Lynx which I have found to be
excellent. The link is: http://www.missing-lynx.com/

One thing I have learnt is to ensure you coat the vehicle in dullcote or
similar before starting. I mix various Oil paints with raw turps and apply
sparingly with a 000 brush.
