Vallejo's are acrylic, right? I normally only spray acrylics through my brush, so I think that Alclad is not an option for me.
Actually, for items this small, hand brushing may be perfectly adequate. I think what I'll try is this: I'll paint them first in Vallejo brass, and then buff them with some SnJ powder. I might try different colors of powder to see which one looks best combined with the brass paint, and which gives the best scale effect.
