I want to add some used brass shell casings to my diorama, but i dont want shiny new ones ( as they come in the pack) i want them to be tarned and greening, as wet wethered brass can do. Without painting them.

what can i do to force nature to naturally weather these shells?

i have 2 soaking in vinegar (as an acid), 2 soaking in oven cleaner (as a caustic), and 2 soaking in water (neutral/damp)

any idea folks would be appreciated?
