I've made quite a few Italian vehicles, all for North Africa. I cant tell you about Humbrolls, as I have never been able to get a hold of them here in Arizona for whatever reason. I just did what the Tamiya instructions said to do, mixing the dark yellow and the red brown and when I mixed it, it turned out to be a red brown with a yellow hue to it. It looked kind of weird. I honestly dont think that it matters a whole lot, as some Italian SPGs are darker (possibly some wear to it, but the pics were B&W, so I'm not sure) and some were lighter). I've never been able to find any pics with the camo scheme, except for this one heavy M class tank (in which there is a photo somewhere in the archieves here on T-L) that I found on the net one day while browsing for Italian tank pics. Really though, when I painted my Italian tanks and SPGs, they were all in varying shades of tan, like straight dark yellow, thinned dark yellow and i believe desert sand from Tamiya.
Hope that helps.
