Harry, The Quad interior would be painted in the service color of the period in which it was built, but could also be repainted in a revised/newer service color during a maintenance period. Desert Quads in Light Stone would retain their original interior color except for perhaps the insides of the doors.
Service Colors:
Middle Bronze Green/Khaki Green G3 1939 to 1943, Recommended Tamiya Paint Mix: XF26:4 +XF4:1 or XF26:4+XF57:1. Gunze 340 or 420, lightened with a bit with 318 or 313 should work.
SCC2 1942 to 1944, Recommended Tamiya Paint Mix: XF52:3/4+XF49:1 (May need to lighten with a bit of XF57). A Gunze mix of H72 and H404 would likely look pretty good, although I can only guess at a ratio of 404:3+72:1/2 for starters. I like a touch of khaki in my SCC2, although this is not a consensus view.
SCC 15 1944 to 1945, Recommended Tamiya Paint Mix: XF52:8+XF26:8+XF1:1
You cannot go wrong if you paint the interior Khaki Green G3. Seat cover would most often be black. HTH, Rich |
