OK people, I have been painting exhausts on softskins as 'rusty' for a couple of decades now. I like the super weathering that is being done but to do it properly on exhausts I would need to know exactly how they came from the factory. Were they painted the vehicle color? Were they painted primer gray (like on my old aircooled VW beetle)? Were they natural metal (like on my VW Jetta)? This knowledge would help emensely on weathering exhausts properly.
