Yes, don't use turpentine, it is a very strong solvent that will hit
acrylics and even enamels hard. I would recommend "turpenoid" by Weber,
same people who make Weber artist supplies. It is a synthetic turps and a
lot less aggressive than the real thing. I've been using it for at least 5
years now and have had not problems. I also use it with my W&N oils when
doing figures. If you're in the US, I get mine at Michaels; but any artist
supplies store should carry it.
